Welcome to our (sort-of) new members: Josh, Nimit and Phil

It’s been a little while but WOM thought it was time to officially welcome our newest WOMbats Josh, Nimit, and Phil into the group. These three gentlemen bested the best in our audition battle-royale for the coveted Bass and Tenor openings. We’ll have their headshots and biographies added to the team page shortly, but for now, all you need to know is this:

Josh Birch is our lovable ginger who ain’t afraid to get down with a little country music while busting out some low D’s in our Bass section.

Nimit Bhatt brings some boyband-esque swagger to our Tenor section and will occasionally throw down the Beat Boxing Gauntlet with our other vocal percussionist, Colin, during rehearsal to see “who’s still got it”.

Phil Kehe won the group over with his soulful solo voice and rendition of “Turning Tables” by Adele. As the newest member of the group, Phil rounds out our boys and will be inducted into impromptu Beat Boxing challenges shortly.

WELCOME WOMBOYS!!!

Inaugural Address: Say hello to Washington’s newest all-vocal ensemble

Hi, there!

We’re Word Of Mouth, and we’re proud to join the Washington D.C.  a cappella community.

Our original members are recent graduates of award-winning collegiate groups from all over the East Coast. While we all may have different backgrounds, career paths, political affiliations and goals in mind, we share one thing: a universal passion for all-vocal performance.

To quote a certain British composer, we believe that “singing is the key to long life, a good figure, a stable temperament, increased intelligence, new friends, super self-confidence, heightened sexual attractiveness and a better sense of humor.”

So with a twinkle in eye and music in ears, Word Of Mouth was formed.  Thanks for visiting our new website, where you can find all the latest information about our members, repertoire and upcoming shows. Stick around, we love an audience!
